Default almost offroading

Go to target to get socks, on way back home with a friend decide to take a gravel road to see where it goes. All good for few miles, turned a few times...then a long banked sightly uphill curve appears. Take not it was raining all day but stopped about 3 hrs ago and now it is 9:30PM. So I enter the corner with not to much speed, then I look to the right and think is that mud or gravel, then the mud starts to suck me in. I quickly turn and hit the 4x4 button on to keep moving in a straight line.
Then there we sit halfway in the ditch. I first try to pull forward only to have the rear slide more into the ditch. Then I get out take a look and think no way am I backing out on a wet grassy side of the ditch.
Call my dad to bring allot of chain. After waiting for 30minits dad is there with 92 suburban, we link the chains together so he can get on the gravel. Then with out even spinning out or trying easily pulls me out, while I try to steer to the left get no traction and am just getting pulled.

and about 18deg of angle to my phone app. Now pics sorry way dark and a camera phone flash only does so much

Notice the angle of the roof to the skyline

How long before you called for help?

I only say that because I've been there.

Took about 5 min for me to decide, Ya I not going anywhere. Did not really try to move that much because of the hill and don't need body damage.

Very true, I don't mind a little body damage due to the dings and dents all over my blazer thanks to the previous owner.

I see some evil looking eyes just above your passenger door, on the first picture. Encounter any large hungry animals that night? haha
