Default RE: Another backspacing question

Um... Have you read any of the threads on this???

Lets break it down for you. Factory back spacing is 6" and the factory rim is 15x7. So, if you wanted things to stick out 1" more with a 15x8 rim, you would stick with the factory 6" back spacing... Make sense? The rim is 1" wider already and since back spacing is a reference of the inside edge of the rim to the rim mounting surface, not changing the back spacing will result in the outside edge of the rim sticking out 1" more per side.

Now enough of these redundant threads!

If you are gonna run a fatter 31 x 10.50 then I would suggest moving out to a 5" or even a 4.5"backspacing,otherwise you will rub the frame with the insides of the wider tires. Good luck finding these wheels... You will almost surely have to special order them. Iordered mine through discount tire from unique (carlisle) for $74 each.
