Best Off Road Tires For Stock Height
#11
I've had Cooper ST's & I forgot aboput that lol thnx AJ. They are a decent tire, quiet, road manners are good as well as wet & they shovel well in the snow.

Decent pic of the tread on my "new to me" at the time blazer. I got all four for around $900 31 x 10.5
Years ago I has STT's & they were god awfull noisy! 50mph & you weren't able to have a conversation without yelling to anyone in the cab of my '80 GM Sierra Grande. After I got these ST's they told me "oh yeah, they made the STT quieter." PFFFFT if I would have known that I probably would have gotten the STT's.

I like my definity dakota at2's. Just got em. Probably have put 200 miles on them so far. They have a pretty aggressive tread design and make a tad bit of noise on the road above about 50 or 60. But pretty smooth ride for the most part.
Here is a pic. Don't mind the blue still on the sidewall lol. I have to clean that soon.

I have had the same BFG All-Terrains on my truck since 2004 30x15x9.5. That was way befor the shakels and torsion crank.

Thank you all for your help! The most of my off road adventures will be in wet, muddy, semi-rocky areas. (I do live in Kentucky...) Keep the good info coming

You will want a fairly aggressive AT but not an all out MT for the conditions you have described.
In order of best (and most expensive) for your needs, IMHO:
1) Goodyear Duratrac's
2) BFG AT/KO's
3) Cooper ST's

my 30x9.5 BFG TA KOs have been worth every dime I paid for them. I've gone through sand, snow, thick mud all without ever getting stuck. On road they are great all around too.

I have BGF mud terrain km2s on my blazer. *Worth every penny..low road noise...fantastic grip in dirt mud and snow...
I had BFG MT KMs on my s10 zr2 in HS and again. Worth every penny....they have my vote

i had 30" maxxis mud terrains i got at les schwab tires (local tire shop) for $690.00 brand new for all 4. no tax.
honestly probably the best tires i had ever owned on my blazer. going from some stock sh*tter all terrains that were really bald, well pretty much for the price and size i wanted they looked rugged, badass and didnt make a lot of noise, id keep my music down and have every window down and barely heard them.
heres pic of them when i owned the blazer
no lift at all just 30's

bfg all terrains are not the best tire for light vehicles, but they do get great milage, no noise, good for all conditions and not super pricy. they dont 'spread' like they should when u dont have weight on them. i have them in a 32" on my toyota 4x4 and i hate them. ppl with street tires go farther than me in sum situations, and its not that i dont know how to drive, its the traction problem....no weight to make them perform. had a set of the km2, best damn tire ive owned for a d/d, but noisy, aggressive and sumwhat expensive......u have a lot of options and good luck on ur quest to find the most appropriate tire for ur application.....lol

I have stock sized Wrangler Territories, they are quiet, very good snow/wet traction...very good tire all around, havent noticed any road noise and i put about 6000km on them and they still have the nubs on the side...i go offroading all the time too which is why i bought them, the truck had firestone street tires on it, i blew one out on the trail.
