Default Which motor is better?

Hi everyone, I have a 1976 Chevy K5. It currently has a small block 350, but it might need to be replaced. When it was running the truck ran good but not like I thought it would. It has a 9inch lift with 39inch super swampers. Should I go with the 350 again or 305?

IMHO, its a no-brain-er. If you are going to stay with a small block, keep the 350.

I would always go with the larger displacement. And IMO a 350 with like a 500in lift cam is a force to be reckoned with

Sure there is... it's called boost.

running that big of tires I would definitely stick with a 350 but I would put a little work into the motor to help it turn them things over easier
