That's just a normal gloss black right?

mightymouse, i did paint the caps black also, they do look great, i just choose to leave them off for now as i always had them on. i personally think they look more aggressive with them off but thats just me. either way they do look great
#13
yeah the rims/caps are gloss black.

did you do any prep work to the wheels before painting them? like sanding or obviously you had to clean them...

i took a green scratch pad, and just scuffed them up a bit, the entire rim though, even the black parts of the rim, and then sprayed a polish on them, rubbed them with a cloth and then put my first coat of paint on, i separately painted the caps though, just layed them on a box, and put 2 coats on. and right now the paint is doing great, just took it offroading 2 days after i painted them, had the rims washed and the paint stays on great

I used rustoleum satin black on my rims along time ago. I scuffed the rims down with fine grit steel wool, blew the dust off with air, and then wiped them down with acetone on a rag. Mines been painted like this since begining of spring. Multiple auto car washes with the brush, and sitting outside and they still look great. I'm planning on getting some ZR2 fenders and the flares. Then just getting wheel spacers to set my wheels out further.
