pulling out shrubs

take video even better. years ago i had a suburban on 38s, pulled out concrete tubes that held up a above ground pool. those things were like 4 feet in the ground. and of course no pics or video. also i prefer to use tow straps when pulling crap out. they lasso and get tighter, but sometimes with bushes they get really tight and are hard to get off

I agree I pulled a pretty large fallen tree out of the way of a dirt path and it was a real pain to pull my strap off after the fact

You should also lay something over the strap or chain like a heavy blanket or something to give it weight so if it snaps it will be forced down and not just snap back. Another good idea is if you pull with the front hooks pop the hood to protect the windshield and you if the strap or chain snap back it will not go through the glass.

^^ pulling in reverse is not a great idea if you dont have to. tow hitch is better to pull from. if you can, loop the chain or rope around the bush then hook both ends of the chain to the hitch where the safety chains would hook on to. Also remember leverage is key, tie the rope as high up as you can, but with a bush i dont think you will have a lot of options for that lol. funny story about leverage and pulling things out.. my uncle was trying to pull some trees out of the ground maybe 6 inches in diameter but he tied the rope to the bottom of the tree thinking it would squat the back end giving more traction, well yes it did.. but after 3 snapped ropes and me laughing hysterically i clued him in on the whole leverage idea. tree popped right out after that.
