Hey guys, I'm visiting friends up in Capac, MI from Houston, Tx.

I was wondering if anyone here knew of some trails we could hit out here? I was hoping to take my friends for a day ride of wheelin and whatnot.

My friend that drove up here with me has his Yota FJ and I have my T15 Jimmy. We each have cb radios and tons of recovery gear (minus winches).

We are wanting to go around the end of the week or weekend.

Lookin to go with some other blazer enthusiasts too and show that FJ who the boss is!

 

Cmon theres gotta be a ton of people out here in Michigan to go wheelin with!

It's going to snow/freeze for the next 3 days so it should be pretty damned challenging out there.

My new front driveshaft is on it's way to Maumee Ohio so I shoud have it thursday and install it in minutes.

Now I gotta find 4 feet of some cheap 8ga wire since my existing wire is green through and through (some walmart/scosche garbage) until then my whoofer is silent.

 

Why not go bigger than 8ga?

 

its only flowing 500 watts peak.

 

I know auto zone or advanced auto sells some wire can't remember the gauge but its for batteries and you can get several feet cut from a big spool of it.

 

I tried a couple shops and their wire is like romex. I am hoping for some stranded and by stranded I mean 8ga with more than 4 wires, I'm thinking in the hundreds or possibly thousands.

 

So far everyone I have run into in Capac besides the people I'm staying with are initially rude then they open up. In Texas people are initially friendly and then tell you to **** off. A little different in that department O and everyone here says "sos" at the beginning, middle, and end of sentences. Replaced for "well" I believe.

Sos, wheres my offroaders is? Theres about 2.5 trillion 2nd gen 4x4 here up in rust city and not even 1 trail rider that hits these boards? This is thoroughly saddening to both myself and the baby Jesus. I'm lookin to ride today, tomorrow, the next day, and so on until like Monday.
