Yeah im a lil stumped with it at the moment. no issues on the road what so ever. got into the woods, started throwin fits, almost like misfiring/flooding. would start back up, but not instantly. put it in gear, same thing. eventually it go away, and we could continue on. did this through out the day in the woods. by the time we had enough, let it sit, drove 1 1/2 hrs straight, no issues and ran awesome. I have an evap code, p1441, but when the issue start, the light goes away. eventually comes back on. dont think thats related to the problem.

im leaning towards coil overheating. crawling thru woods under hood temp higher with less road wind. i have a taurus fan, i use on low. keeps engine temps in check. on high temp stays below 150 so i dont use high side. Goin to next time see if i can keep underhood temp down. poke and hope right now til something rears its head.

Thanks though, the trail in the picture is an uphill section. i had tons of issues going down it last yr with 4.3. going up is the hard part, and it walked right up it with the 5.7.

Could it be the EGR valve? I had a sonoma that acted the same way, drives down the road fine but at low speeds and idle itd struggle to stay running.

White/black combo looks great and the rims are perfect for the truck.

Jealous of both your SAS and the 2dr FS Blazer!

A possibility. I havent sent my ecm out yet to get tuned and egr deleted yet, and my egr works but tube to headers isnt hooked up, i blocked it off. I dont want to get a tune yet because Im actually shooting to find a ls 5.3, and swap to it in the winter, or do a rebuild and mods on the 5.7. Im a cheap ***, so thatll dictate what i do later...lol.

HAHA. shes far from fancy...lol. Im too much of a cheap *** for fancy...lol.

Just glancing back, still amusing to me on how much i didnt like it at first, that i put so much time into it now, this pic is from april 2010. At this time, the blazer was still classified as my wifes, and i hated it. Nothing with styling just its personality, if there is such a thing. Constantly replacing something. Thats where the nickname the antichrist came from. it was evil, still is sometimes. we joke about it, but i gave my buddy who bought my ifs lift, our old hood so he could do a snorkel. his motor blew up 3 days later...lol.
