What creature are you referring to? I am the fat one behind the wheel!

They are, but if you read above, I posted that I had a front axle making a clicking sound, so I removed it. If the front axle is removed/pulled, they (Bravada's) officially become rear wheel tire smokers!

I wish ABN31B would come back and ridicule us!

^ Upper right corner in the 'dry' spot. Looks like its waiting to eat you if you rolled down and was pinned.

Pretty sure the AWD system can have problems if the axles are just "removed" without any other modifications... Someone wanted to do that but maybe it was just limited to driveshaft removal from the front....

That means that you have that one spline whatever was connecting the two front tires would just be spinning freely. The transcase does not just stop one axle from spinning. Example: 4x4. You turn the switch on all four moving turn it to 2wd just the rear are spinning.

Sure can. He could end up with a no-wheel drive running it like that... Those viscous clutch tranfer cases aren't known for their strength as it is. Decoupling the front output (whether by removal of the front driveshaft or the half shafts) is a sure fire way to a quick death. They are 30/70 torque split transfer cases...

Not that this is the proper place for such a discussion...

Sooner or later I'm going to try and put the front corner of my K5 on top of one of those rectangular concrete dividers!
