Just thought I would mention that in Off-Road magazine they use a couple of ZR2's in a trail trip. They don't really say much about them besides the fact that they are ZR2's, and have extra ground clearance and that type of stuff.

I thought it was interesting to see a blazer in an off-road magazine though. It's in the October 2006 issue. Looks like a fun trail trip too, numerous days, with camping and some interesting history.

Sounds like the kind of trip I would enjoy.
