Default 2 Questions about my bumper lights

Got 2 questions:

.1 Can I (and if I can, how?) make by bumper lights more flush with the bumper, rather then inset?

.2 Can/should I smoke them, not dark, but just enough to make them look different. Maybe 50% opacity.

Here is my bumper lights for reference:

No need to bump..it hasn't even been up for 24hrs yet.
Are those lights your turn signals? If so then I don't see a problem with smoking them, but you want to check on your local state laws before doing it to make sure you won't run into problems.
As for making it flush...I don't know what the housing is like in behind the bumper...but I'm guessing you wouldn't be able to as there would be no way to mount it. You might be able to rig up some sort of spacer to have it come out flush, but I don't see the point.

Yeah I don't know the laws, and I dunno how to check also. ha ...

I've seen custom lights on ebay, and one of them is almost black. It's more of a dark blue/teal color, which I don't like, so I figured smoking would be better cause that blue tint is ugly.

And making it more flush, I just like that more clean even look, I don't like how they are recessed. But I don't know how it looks behind. What do I have to do, take the bumper off?

Craig,
Please do not bump a post unless it has been at least 24 hours since your last one in the same thread. This is considered double posting and is against Forum rules.

if you look at this picture you can see what the bumper looks like without the trim. without the trim the lights are almost flush with the bumper, like 1/8 inch recessed maybe.

Oh wow, that answers my question. ha! Thanks. Now I gotta figure out if it's OK to smoke them.
