I own a 2000 chevy blazer over here in Australia, and they are few and far between.

I am wanting to install a set of running boards. Can anyone advise what kind of mounting kit is required, and where they mount to on the car?

Not too many running boards these days in the USA. Most everything has gone to nerf bars, but typically just on the sides of 4x4s.

However there are a few manufacturers that make them for the Blazer. Westin is such a company.

Here is a video of installation of running boards on a 2014 Chevrolet Silverado. The installation kit comes with the running boards. Hopefully this will give you the idea of how the Westin running boards are mounted.
