84 S10 Seats?
So I'm currently a day away from buying a 1984 S10 Blazer. It's in need of some minor work, but it runs just fine and so on. However as it turns out the front seats don't lock, which is a pretty major safety concern on my part.
I found these seats on JC Whitney, which are supposedly compatible with my Blazer model. http://www.jcwhitney.com/buy-2-and-s...42y1984f5o40j1
I was wondering if anyone had any experience installing new seats into this model, and if they had any tips. Or if you just had a better suggestion for replacement seats.
Thanks,
Oliver

What do you mean by "they don't lock"? They did have a safety recall on some of the 1st gen blazers for the front seats you might to check if your car falls in the category if it does I think Chevrolet will still honor the recall and replace it.
As for other seat ideas
2nd gen blazer seats and cavalier seats will directly bolt in the original brackets.

Oh, when I say they don't lock, I mean if you were to break suddenly the back-portion seat would move with you. Whatever was holding it in place is gone now. Which is fairly unsafe. So I figured I'd just replace both seats.
And I'll look into both. The recall sounds like a good bet, given these are original seats in there. But if not, I can try to find some 2nd gen Blazer seats.

Here is some info on the recall

There a lot more information on it along with how to test if yours falls under that category on all data.
