would it work if i took the mirrors from a 97 blazer and put them on my 2000?

 

Well, I took the newer style mirrors (99+) and put them on a 98 which had the older style mirrors so I don't see why you can't do it in reverse order. They have different connecters but nothing a soldering iron can't fix. I don't know your exact situation but I do have to say that the older style mirrors are pretty weak, while the newer ones are much stronger so you might consider getting the newer style mirrors.

 

Yes they should fit. You'll have to take the door panel off and there will be three holes that give you access to it.
