96 ZR2 grill & headlamps on 97 LS?
Hi all,
I picked up a grill piece for my 97 Blazer LS today, totally didn't realize it's for a 96 ZR2.
My question is, how much of a difference is there with wiring from the 96 ZR2 headlamps are there compared to the the 97 LS headlamps?
Can I simply plug and play/pray the 96 ZR2 headlamps on my 97 LS? Also, does anyone know what model bulb the 96 would use? I would like to put some Sylvania SilverStar's as the bulbs (Non-Ultra's) in.
Thanks!

So, I just want to make sure I understand correctly. And also so that my eyes aren't playing tricks on me... (it's been a long day...). I should be able to pull the lights off the other truck and just plug and play them in, right? The lamp housings that are on my 97 LS right now, currently are too big for the grill piece.
In regards to the bulbs, are the sealed units or can I put whatever 9004/5/6/etc bulb in I want?
Thanks!,

Starting to sound like you mixing grille styles.
You trying to mix and match this
And this
That the case nothing swaps. The core support forward is all different. If I'm figuring right you have a 97 blazer grille with composite lights and trying to swap with a 96 truck grille with sealed beam. Zr2 still has no effect your mixing sealed beam truck and composite suv parts and they won't just bolt on swap.

Well, in clarification for my 97 LS. The grill that was on the truck was broken, as the previous owner (the idiot) that I bought it off cliped a deer and never fixed the piece. So, I took it off the truck and have been just running without a grille piece for near two months.
Looking at the mounting points, they are all the same. Except for the headlamps. Which leads back to my question, is the connector universal on the back of the headlamp in my LS? Can I just put the headlamps from the truck I pulled the grille piece off, on to my LS as well? I don't exactly care about "look" persay, I've just been trying to find a grille piece for my truck...
If I can't, then let me know I will take the grille piece back to the junkyard and try to find another blazer with the composite headlamps and move to that.
Confusing, yes I am aware....
Thanks,

No sealed beam headlights have one connector on each side, composites have 2 for each side. The connectors can be swapped but the whole core support where the headlights mount is different. IMHO you will be better off getting the grille like your blazer had and not try to swap core supports and rewiring to make a sealed beam truck grille and lights to work.
