Auto shifter ****

Anybody know how u can get the end of the shifter off the shifter on the column for automatics? I got an idea for a beer tapper thats slightly modified to put on there, but i cant figure out how to get it off

I dont think its pissible to get off. Mine is a 97 and it does not screw off or anything i already checked. Sound like a cool idea though.
