Default Best way to strip clear off of wheels?

I'm putting a set of older camaro wheels on my 01. I've used paint stripper on them but it just isn't getting all the factory clear off. What's the best brand to use? Plus, what's the best way to get the rust, or corrosion, from brake dust off of the inside of wheel? I've tried wet sanding by hand with 400 but it just isn't getting the job done effectively.

Sand blasting would probably be the easiest and fastest way to do it. I would price it out and see what it would cost to have them done, way faster than trying to use paint stripper, and it could turn out to be around the same price, even if its more though you aren't having to do all the labor of stripping it yourself.
Just my $0.02

Aircraft remover will take clear off in minutes... but its real toxic so make sure you use it responsibly.

Tried the stripper a few times, just isn't get it all off. Plus it's not doing anything to the burnt on brake dust on the inside. I'm afraid sand blasting with pit the aluminum. Was to paint the textured part of the wheel but would like to keep the polished aluminum part of the outside & the inside part.

You say you used stripper but did you use the aircraft stripper? It's far stronger than standard paint stripper. There are alternatives to sand such as soda blasting that won't hurt the aluminum as well.

Wet sand the clear off. Shouldn't have to worry about breaking through the paint or anything if you pay attention.
