Its a design flaw. Both the levers in dads Sonoma utility truck are gone to who knows where. As if it matters, but still

Yeah that sort of sucks. I was trying to figure out how the heck I broke that metal but it looked like cheap crappy stuff in there. I think I am definately have to get these but they seem a bit expensive, I might check out the junkyard first or see if it is in my budget to get the leather seats I found. Thanks for the link swartlkk.

Go to a parts store and ask for repair handles. Dorman products make a HELP product (part numer 77199) that is a set of repair handles for the seats. It basically makes holds them with a screw. It works pretty good.
