Question Driver's side door squeak.

Searching around I didn't find anything conclusive... I'm guessing other people have a similar problem with their driver's door squeaking when the body flexes on bumps...
Has anyone remedied this problem?
Is it an adjustment with the door latch?
If so how do I go about adjusting the latch?

Thanks.

I can't say I've had that problem-only my center console squeaks. Maybe try throwing some grease on your door seal? That should probably do it.

I'd use lithium grease not WD-40 because it will dry in a few days

If the door has up/down movement, then the hinge is worn. If it still has up/down movement after the bushings/pin have been replaced on the two hinges, then the hinge pieces have been somehow bent.

Yep, my drivers side door has a broken bushing which really sucks considering my passenger door is just fine. I'd like to replace it semi-soon

If it's a broken bushing here's a great guide on how to replace it:

That sounds like a broken bushing or a bent hinge

The hinges are fine, the door doesn't have any up or down movement what-so-ever.

Just for the fun of it when I had my window down driving down the street I put my hand on the back of the door and pulled it towards me, essentially closing it tighter, the squeak got tighter. It's almost like the latch is just a tad out of alignment and isn't holding the door closed as tight as it could be.
I noticed that there's three (what look like) self tapping screws holding the latch mechanism to the door, what if I back these off and move the mechanism further into the door? Think that'd help?

Thanks again, any input is appreciated... just one of those annoying querks I'd like to fix.

The hinges are typical failure points on these trucks which is why they were brought up first. From your clarification, it sounds like you need to move the latch pin in. This should be a fairly simple adjustment.

Yeah, I lube my hinges regularly just because it doesn't take long before it creaks like an old barn door.

I'll just loosen the three bolts I was looking at and move it a bit, shouldn't be too difficult unless things are seized, and if they are on a 4 yr old vehicle I'll eat my hat.
