Default hail dents

has anyone ever tried using dry ice to pop out hail dents and succeeded? my grandfather told me it works just fine but hes done a lot of stuff to his truck that he thinks is just fine and it looks awful.

you're supposed to do on a really hot day and just set a small chunk of dry ice above the dent and its just "supposed" to pop right out. i read about on the interenet a few years ago when i first bought my truck with existing hail damage. he told me it works perfectly but i dont really want to try it and make it worse.

this kinda describes it http://www.dryiceinfo.com/other.htm#HAIL%20DAMAGE
and this is a movie http://www.metacafe.com/watch/494805..._with_dry_ice/

I would just get a Ding King from the auto parts store. It sounds easier than dry ice, but that's just my opinion.

Anyone ever used a Ding King or Dent King? I used one on a dent from previous owner right behind driver's door. It took forever and the spots where the anchors were ended up denting a little themselves. Pulled the bigger dent out a tad, but now it's more rippled...not what I was hoping for.

yeah those are a joke. You can find a local paintless dent removal person they normall charge about 150 for a whole car. They are the real deal i have seen them work magic many times.

as far as the bigger dent goes, give it a shot it might help. What do you got to lose?
