Hidden winch?
Anyone have a hidden winch on there blazer? I see that Synergy has a hidden winch kit now, meant for zr2's but will work on non. Anyone used this http://www.shop.synergyoffroad.com/p...;productId=192? If you have how hard is the install and what winch are you using? It says takes cutting/drilling what do u have to do this to?
Also what does it take to install a winch its self?

RE: Hidden winch?
I've got it and it should work on a non-ZR2 providing you have a 98+ with tow hooks. I put a Smittybilt 8000# winch on it. The install is pretty straight forward but you do need to cut some of the frame horns to get the winch to fit. You also need to find a place to install the solenoid as the winch won't fit with the solenoid attatched.
I also rigged up a licensce plate holder that covers the fairlead, though I usually take it off when offroading.

RE: Hidden winch?
Just remembered these pics as to how/where I put the solenoid, also had to cut a little bit out of the bumper:
If you have any detailed questions feel free to ask. Make sure you ask Justin (Jigg) at Synergy if he has any in stock. The guy that was making them seems to have backed off on all his welding products due to a new job.

These are actually in stock and shipping out right now. We only have 6 left and then we're done for quite awhile (possibly for good).
