okay so i put up a how to for my rear window trim and figured i might was well do another one for the mirrors and interior door handle bezels.
first off remove mirrors and interior door handle bezels.
for best results take the mirrors apart the lower part is held to the upper part with 3 torx bolts.
secondly clean them with a degreaser and wax remover.
sand them down with a "scotchbirte" pad gray one preferably.
wipe them down one more time.
for the mirrors in particular spray them with an adhesion promoter. even though they are rough already without this they will peel.
tape up mirror glass.
spray with 2k high build primer (mirrors only)
scudd the surface sheen off of the primed mirrors with 400 grit sandpaper.
spray mirrors and bezels with color.
clear coat the mirrors in particular they see a lot of sunlight.
wait at least 3 to 5 hours and put mirrors back together. (if the paint still feels soft do not touch let it sit longer)
reinstall mirrors and bezels on car.
wait at least 30 days before waxing the freshly painted mirrors.
thats it all done.
