Jeep style hood latch

Jeep style hood latch

So is it possible or feasible to modify our hoods with the Jeep style latches? I know you can do traditional hood pins and I've seen it before, but I honestly like the Jeep latches.

I think it would be pretty difficult, since they can't be mounted on the sides of the hood, like a Jeep. To work right, they really need to pull straight down.

I want to experiment with it but I don't want my Blazer to be the test subject haha. Wish I had a non running one to try it out on.

How about those racing pins? The ones come up through the hood and you use a slide pin to close it down on both side... been thinking about those for mine, latch isn't the best lol

Yeah thats what I meant by traditional hood pins. I've seen 'em on Blazers before, its definitely possible and whatnot.
