I have been looking at putting a CB into my blazer but i would like to get some ideas about where to mount it. I have thought about in the console, under the dash, etc. But if anybody has any pictures of their installs Post Em UP.

 

alot of ppl like to take the ashtray out and mount it in that spot... or if you have a cassette player you could mount it it there too

well i have my aux input cord for my ipod run inside the ashtray so when i open it I can plug the ipod up and it fits perfect to set inside while im using it. so I was trying to mount where I could still open the tray up.

 

Granted my blazer is a little older than you alls, but this is where I mounted my CB. cut out an a/c vent, and stuck it in the dash.

 

Here's mine, just drilled two holes and put it in. The amp for it is down towards the bottom setting on the center console tray.

 

those installs look good. I like the casette player spot but I have the other console. And i thought about the spot that speterson1011 put his but the CB im lookin at may be too wide. Its too bad we dont have a cubby on the ceiling that it could be put in without looking bad.

 

Yah that would look good putting up on the roof. I wanted a bigger one but just went with the small one and tuned it up like a big on so it could fit

 

Do you have the CD case in your console? That would be an optimal place... Maybe you could mount it in the glove box and just run a cord out??

Or mount it over the "OH SH*T" handle on the passenger side?

Mount it to the ceiling (assuming no oh console or sunroof) and run the wire down a pillar?

Mount it to the bottom of your seat?

Idk, just a few Ideas, I think I might need to get a cb soon....

those are some good ideas wlorton but i got a sunroof. But i like the cd case idea.
