mudder biuld?
hi i'm brand new here. i just came uppon the deal of the centry. i boughttwo 2nd gen blazers.
#1 is a '80 k-10 4x4
-body is shot beyond repair
-fame good
-rings are pretty bad in the motor
-3 speed w/ granny (good)
-np 205 transfer case - i think (good)
-12 bolt rear end
#2 is a '84 k-5 4x4
-all the body pannels are good i can work with them windshield is good.
-no motor, tranny or transfer case
-just a donor truck
-the frame is also good
-comes with 4" lift kit
now here's my idea i want to talk the body from #2 put it on #1. pull the motor stoke it to a 383 with about 10:1 compression so it will run on 89. chop the roof off weld in the doors (i haven't got that one figured out yet.) and cut them down. the whole reason for that is i want this to be a fun truck and those trucks with out the doos look odd. and put in a roll bar. oh and make the transfer case a twin stick.
i need some advice on this project. i've never cut into trucks this much and i really don't want to mess it up too bad. i've never seen i truck like what i want to do so any pics would be great. i'm not looking to spend much more than i alreay have outside the motor, clutch and wheel/tire combo. thanks for reading i'll be sure to put pics up as i go.
