Must I replace the bumper when doing the 98+ front upgrade?

I am planning on upgrading my 1996 Blazer 4dr with the 98+ front grill and headlights. Must I also upgrade the bumper to 98+?

No you do not HAVE to swap out bumpers. The grille will just sit on the bumper. My brother didn't switch out the bumper when he did his swap. Check out blazin97's gallery.
