Default New Dashboard for 1990 GMC S15 Jimmy

Does anyone know where I can get a replacement/new dashboard for my 1990 GMC s15 Jimmy? Mine is all cracked up and loose in places.

I looked on LMC Truck and all they had was the dash covers. Looks like a junk yard is my next option

Not sure if they'd have it, but try JC Whitney.

Would it also be possible to build a custom one?

No, it's impossible.

Well of course it's possible, but it'll take a good bit of time. The junkyard trip will be a lot easier and almost certainly look better in the end.

If they don't have one in good shape, consider searching the options about recovering it, DIY style. You'll still need to pull the dash out of course, but basically the procedure is to cut out any protruding damage (say, curled dash pad), fill valleys with an epoxy or some such, sand all that filler smooth, then stretch a new vinyl pad of your choosing out over the existing dash, using a basic contact adhesive. Doing it with a heat gun or in the sun will make the vinyl more workable. I may attempt this on my sister's ride.
