Default Paint Chip Repair

I have never repaired paint chips before. I have the appropriate colour but I do not know what to do with the paint aside from just painting it on. I would know enough to wash the surface before I paint it on...but is there anything else?

Sorry...rookie question.

you need to be a little more detailed, like how deep is the chip, what paint did you get and how good you would like it to look in the end

touch up never looks good like factory paint does. Its pretty much trial and error, just get the smallest brush you can find and go at it!

Definately right about that. It doesn't blend at all.
