Painting / Primering your self, techniques and products.
Hello,
Iv made a thread in the Gen chat about this subject, but i figured i should have prob made it here to begin with.
My blazer is red as you can see and i want it black, more than anything on this planet i want it all black!
So im trying to figure out the best safest way and by safest i mean long lasting and protection wise way to do this.
Im good at painting so that part is not a issue i just want the metal to be protected for long term because i will not have the money or time to have it
painted professionally for a long long time.
So, wondering what techniques or products i should use for this.
There has to be a way..
Btw: the black im going for is a flat black or gun metal black.
I hate shiny paint.
Thanks for any help.

hello the best satin/flat black that i have used is BASF/RM SC804 it is a urethane single stage paint we use it a lot for frames, misc parts and have done a few vehicles with it it holds up well and has uv protection and is very black
you cant buff it as with all flat paints it will start to turn shiny so if you dont have access to a quality booth you will get some dirt but remember that the flatness does hide it quite well they also have a excellant black epoxcy primer and a black urethane primer so if you get stone chips they wont show as bad thanks and good luck
