Default Rear hatch glass adjustment?

Is there any possible way to adjust the height at which the rear hatch glass sits when closed? It sits about 1/2" higher than the roof line, and is letting road crud sneak in at the bottom where it should seal on the door weather seal.

I've tried to actually force it down by standing on the rear bumper and pushing down where the hinges are, but no luck, and I'm not a small guy either lol Those are some strong hinges lol

I don't see any play in the mounts, and I really have no idea how it's been shifted up without the glass breaking?

Any advice is appreciated

Check the bolts on the hinges, as I recall there isn't much if any room for shifting it around but there might be enough to drill new holes. Otherwise you have to bend the hinges back, not an easy task like you said. Worst case find a replacement.

midnightmekanik - just come across your post, did you resolve the problem? I have the same problem caused, I believe, by new support struts pushing the tailgate glass upwards. Thought of bending the hinges but scared of breaking the glass.
