rear quarter panel help please
Ok i have a 96 s10 blazer 4 door and on the drivers side the rear quarter around the gas cap and wheel well is allllll rust..So im going to a auto wrecker tommorow to get a new rear quarter panel...I know its a big job but do i just drill out the tac welds,Im sure theres some cuttin still to doo but i was hoping to get it all out one peice..thanks for you help
the only quarter ive replaced was on a BMW, but youll have to remove the window and the trimming along with the bumper extension and you might even have to rip out the interior and the tail light. then drill out all the welds like you said there might be some of that foam adhesive stuff on there too, but once you get past that the quarter should come off fairly easy.
**you should also remove the tire and the fender liner and seperate the gas filler neck from the body.
