Default Removing Flares

Got a 2000 ZR2 Blazer and I want to paint the flares. I removed all visible bolts on the drivers front and it won't come off. It wants to but it seems still bolted on somehow? HELP!!!!!!

The factory flares I've installed on previous Yukons have been held on by a combination of double sided foam tape and hardware. I guess if you really want them off, pull hard!. Are they loose enough to get tape behind them? Probably easier to just paint them on the vehicle like Newguy...

Default Flares

I found out to remove the front flares you must remove the entire fender. I guess GM didn't want anyone taking them off. The back flares can be removed as all the fasteners are accessible. Tape and paint time.

Give this man a cigar!

As others have said, paint them in place. Without removing the fender you can't take the flares off the front unless you end up breaking them. The rears tend to snap the bolts pretty easy, too.

Yup, you have to remove the entire fender. If you don't wanna take it all off, here's a clip that tries to show you how to paint fenders on a vehicle (it's a jeep but i figured it should give you an idea, haven't found any vids on a TB). You'll need tape and lots of plastic and towels. Anyway, good luck with the project.
