Default Is there a trick to removing ZR2 fender flares..???

Really need help.. Just spent past hour trying to get one front flare off..All screws are out ..Looked at all the info I could find.. they all say "gently pry off from 1/2" lip" .. I pulled as hard as I could and thought It was going to snap off.. No Go...

Factory repair manual says remove the fender first..!!!!

Please tell me that does not have to be done..

Is there a trick I'm missing that you guys have used ??? I see plenty of threads that mention you have all pulled them off...how..??

Rear looks easier... I hope to just drill out rivets..

Thanks
Dean

To pull the fronts correctly you do need to remove the fenders. There are a couple more bolts/nuts that you can't get to unless you remove the fenders. The rears are pretty easy, though.

I thought they were on with screws and auto double sided tape, with little effort they should pry off.

Nope, studs on the flare side that pass through the fender lip and held on with nuts.
