Behind the glove box would be a great idea for ya. but correct me if I am wrong, I have a 2000 but I would assume it is the same as a 96. Rabbit said push down on the rubber stopper, well that wont do any good (unless I am missing a rubber stopper) I have a metal tab that stops the glove box from coming out all the way and I have to push up on that to flip it out. the only problem with that is if you have stuff in the glove box it wont stay there for long lol.

You could always get a 2 way alarm, that way you know when it is going off. I have a Crimestopper and I love it. All my wiring and control modules are behind the glove box as well :-)
Yeah, the metal clip as I mentioned can be bypassed, it rests against a piece of rubber (which is there to keep the metal from scratching up the plastic) that can be flexed to slide over the metal clip releasing the compartment. If your missing the rubber stopper then just push up on the clip.

Here is the metal clip:

Just push the metal clip up:

and the glove box will completely fold out:

Just make sure you don't have any thing in the glove compartment like I did, see the white stuff on my floormat. That was a spray bottle of air freshener.

Exactly. The rubber piece is right there in plain view too. You can push the metal clip up or push the rubber piece down, whatever works easier for you. I found pushing the rubber piece easier because my clip is very hard to move, possibly on to tight or something. Thanks for the demo Euro!

No prob. I sent it to sickrat last night because he couldn't find what you were talking about but it turns out that his glove compartment is different anyway.

I use under the center consol. It pulls out and there is alot of space down there. Also, at the end of your light assembly with the garage opener and everything, you can pull it down and stash some cash in there, no one would ever know that one.

Good idea with the behind the glovebox trick. I had the iPod cable from my iPod deck ran into the glove box, but now I can hide the iPod behind it. Thanks!
