Default Spare tire carrier, old to new

Does anyone know if a spare tire carrier from a 92 s10 blazer will work for spare tires for a stock 97 s10 blazer? There is one for sail close to me so I would like to know if it will work without buying new rims.

Darn that's too bad. All good though, the guy on Facebook who was going to sell it to me doesn't seem to want to reply back anymore. Thanks for all your help guys!

Found 2 of em at my local u pull it yard; a 1st gen in great shape and a 2nd gen totally rusted; bent and in poor shape....got both of em for 28 bucks...cut the ends off of the gen 2 carrier and welded them onto the gen 1... sanded and painted it and its ready to be installed.

I have a nutcert tool that does up to 12mm....I'm wondering if they would be enough...seems like that was all that was used to mount them at the factory?

Thoughts/Opinions????
