I am trying to find out information on converting my '89 Jimmy's tailgate from a drop to a swing. The current tailgate is not the original. The guy before me swapped it for a traditional truck tailgate. Can anyone provide a thread link or details on doing this? Google search came up pretty empty and the search here that I did was not much help either...maybe it's just too difficult. Thanks.

 

I think the original stock tailgate was a drop on those 1st gens, too.

A swing tail gate like the fullsize 90's blazers/suburbans would be sweet. Have you ever seen this mod done before on an S-Series?
