ok on my 2000 2 door blazer it has the 2 hooks in the front so if u need towed out of something those hooks alrite well my ? is if i take them off are they holding anything else togeather. basically is it safe to take them off... kindof a dumb ? but u never no what some things are hooked to... i want to fill the holes with like an alluminum mesh that matches my grille it should look good

 

I am pretty sure they are hook directly to the frame. I would go check on my blazer but I got no shoes on lol and its dark.

 

it wont hurt to remove them... in fact, in order to install some brush guards/bull bars, you have to remove them.....

 

If there is anything else held on by the bolts, you can just reuse the bolts or get shorter ones...
