I'm about to, but I sure wish I knew how to take it off the truck so that I could lay the paint down good and thick with it laying horizontal.

It is bolted and glued into the body, so it will definitely be less work to just tape off around it.

If it's not terribly rough you should sand and paint. If you have some deep gouges your should throw in some body filler to fill the gaps, then sand and paint.

Be sure to do some good prep work if you want it to last.

No problem. Hate to be the bearer of bad news! I'll be painting my window trim also very soon.

Same here. Scuffed with 240 grit, prime, glazing putty, block sanded to 600 grit, Dupli-Color Trim Paint (3 coats), Dupli-Color Clear Coat (2 coats) - Look'n Fine! I was so pleased with the trim paint that I did the grill too! Then I color matched my Bowtie. Eastbound and down....

I wish I had some before shots for you, but I wasn't thinking. Anyway, we all know what it looks like - bad, bad pitting, contrasting that awful, sun faded, grey colour.

I did the roof rack with the same stuff immediately afterward, so I'll put a shot of that in as well.

Let me know if you like it - if not, leave my sensitive ego alone! lmao

...and here's a bonus shot or two, just for askin' lol
