Default Tube bumpers

Getting ready to make me a set of tube bumpers but am not sure of some stuff. Anyone know what thickness of tubing I should use and what diameter?
Could I use some metal chainlink fence poles?

Get some .120 wall pipe that's what they use for roll cages so it should be plenty thick for a bumper.

That sounds good, I was wondering about the fence poles cause I have never had any problems with welding galvanized metal and having fumes get to me. I wonder more about its structural integrity
I will go with some steel pipe like you who have built your own bumpers have
