hey everyone might be a silly question but I want to know if I remove the front bumper on my 2000 jimmy what's behind it ? is there a cross member ? I am looking at mounting two lights to the front of my jimmy and cause I don't have much time and I am tight for cash I am mounting them this way. what I was wondering is if anyone has any pics of there's removed or can link me to some It would be a huge favor. I have looked for bumpers and bull bumpers in my area and no luck so I figured id do it this way for now till I can get one shipped from the states.

hey blake,
have you looked behind the grille from the top? on my 98 blazer there are two bolts that go into the bumper from the top, down. i cant remember what size they are, but i think that they are torx. if you can get those out, you can get a piece of flat bar, drill a hole in it for the bolt that you pulled out of the bumper. slid it in place between the bumper and the grille and put the bolt back in. do it twice and you will have two mounts for some lights.

 

I've currently got the grill and bumper off mine when I get home I'll snap a pic on it for you.

some times behind the bumper in the steel support beam there is some beaded foam filler pieces, but the plastic front cover comes off with the steel inner support, there is 4 actual bolts plus two bumper support bars just in front of the front tire, remove the front plastic grill to gain acess to the bumper bolts
