Default wife and i pins.

we replaced the top pin and bushing on the drivers door. not so bad.

as you know one bushing is larger then the other.

the lower 2 holes attached to the body of the blazer have 2 small holes the same size.... same size ....... same size

of course the larger bushing doesnt go in. the smaller bushing that i have doesnt fit either. the hole is smaller then the smallest bushing i purchased.

what is going on ??????? i am flabbergasted ..........

i watched a video on the internet where a1auto.com compresses the spring in a vise and puts 3 plastics tires around different sides of the springs. he then puts the spring in place and slowly used a utility knife or scrapbooking blade and cuts each tie. after all the ties are cut the spring opens up and falls into place.

Default lower pin

we still cant get the lower pin in place. the lower pin goes in straight down. the larger bushing is too big for the top hole where the head of the pin is supposed go thru.

we are totally lost.

Did you get jobber parts or go buy the right pins at the dealer??? I was in there yesterday and the door pins come in pairs for 15 bucks a door.

yea, it seems that you have bought a universal door pin/bushing set. the best way to guarantee that the new pins will fit is to go to the dealer, that way you get hte correct part the first time.

Default Pins

thanks guys.

the first set of pins i got off this dude on the internet. why did i pay for frieght i dont know. the top and lower bushing went in nice.

the 2 holes on the bottom bracket attached to the body of the car is smaller then the smallest bushing i have.

the other day i went to the stearership and got 2 news pins for $ 9

when i matched it up to the lower hole of the bracket, same thing, the hole is smaller then the smaller bushing they gave me.

either i am losing it, or something aint right...

As for installing the spring, the best thing to use is the tool that is designed for the job. It only costs about $10.

yes all the bushings were taken out several days ago.

the funny thing is on the bottom bracket attached to the car, both of the holes are the same size.

of the 2 bushings they give you, the smaller one is too big for the smaller holes. that is my main probelm. why are there 21 holes the same size ?????

we are totally losts and we are getting very annoyed.

why are there 2 holes the same size ???????

Maybe you are getting pins and bushings for the rear doors when you need them for the front?
