Default wiper arms from second to first gen

I noticed a picture on here, cant find it now of course, of a second gen blazer, and the windshield wiper arms bent all the way to have the wipers straight out and not on the window, which comes in extremely handy when its snowing, and sitting outside.
Now, what I want to know is, what year second gen blazers have that style windshield wiper arms, and would they work on a first gen?
It drives me nuts that the first gens do not do that, and then the wiper gets coated in ice.

I highly doubt 2nd gen arms will fit a 1st gen.

Guessing you talking about folded out like this

The arms on all my 1st gens fold forward to where they stand off the windshield (87, 88, 89, 91, [2]93s). I know mine fold out cause that's how I put them when I'm changing wipers until I'm done.

They do? I have tried, and it only goes to about 40° not 90 like the second gens..

hmmm, maybe I have to break something HA Next time I step out, I will get a photo of how far it goes.

This is the farthest it will go, so obviously it wont stay up when it is snowing and sitting over night ect... pretty frustrating. I envy those who's wipers will stay up at 90°
