Default Xtreme bumper question

Gotta question: Will the rear bumper and front fit a 96? I don't know how much they changed design over the years, but I'd like that xtreme look on my blazer.

They never made xtreme's until 98, so you'd be looking at an entire front end swap (grille and all). I believe you can swap the front ends...I think I've seen it done before, but don't hold me to it. I'm not sure about the back, since the xtreme's only came in 2dr.

Edit: You might be able to find an aftermarket body kit that resembles an xtreme. I'm not sure what's out there as far as body kits go I've never looked for any. I don't imagine it would be cheap either.

The bumpers probably wouldn't work without an entire front end swap. If they did it would probably look funny (alignment wise) since the front end style changed...

There's lots of people that put 98+ bumpers on the 97- trucks. It looks fine. I thought they just bolted on but I was reading a thread on another forum and the guy thinks the mounts are different. I haven't torn a 97 or older apart to know for sure myself. The rear bumpers on the Blazers are the same 2 door and 4 door and are NOT unique to the Xtreme, only the side bumper caps. You need flares to work right with the rear bumper ends since they are bumped out to blend with the flare. The problem is they were only for 2 door Blazers and won't work on a 4 door. I'm not aware of any 4 door fender flares.
