3.8 supercharged is a FWD engine - means that the biggest pain after making the adapter plate is that the intake sits inside or against the firewall
If you're up for the tuning needed for forced induction then go start looking at the superchargers on the mustangs or lightnings - still an eaton roots style blower but already set up for RWD mounting
Oh and if you're 1996 or newer you'll likely want to do THIS first so you can upgrade your injectors - or get one of THESE and weld/JBweld injector bosses on it
I've been doing armchair mechanics on this for a while - I've come to the conclusion that for all the work involved I might as well put the whole damn 3.8 engine in (with a ford blower) - comes already tuned, 50 more hp 'out of the box', and slightly better fuel economy (or way better depending on your truck)

after all the parts spent fabricating the mount the price of the charger and all the intake parts might as well go wynjammer. but you cant just strap this thing on and expect to drive it. you need more fuel. bigger injectors and an ecm flash would be my recommendation.

i found a charger at the yard a few months ago. I was so close in getting it, just for someone that would want to tackle this project.

On 60 degree forum we got a machinist that's willing to fab an intake to use better flowing aluminum FWD heads on our older iron blocks. I have an old mpfi setup sitting on my shelf to change from TBI just for this. I just gave up and started rebuilding my 350 to put in my blazer cause making it sfa and swapping to dana 60s has taken long enough. Might play with it in my 91 if I ever get the blazer done.
