you can change tons of stuff engine, exhaust, rack & pinion gears and you can add things like turbs and etc. just all depends how much money you have and how much knowledge about cars you have.

i don't want to spend too much, i would consider putting a v8 in it but that wouldn't be for a few years. anything to change just for now? its tbi so an intake is not quite as easy, and i've done the exhaust.

do a Cold air intake and thats about it. unless you got alot of money to throw at it. a v8 swap is pretty much a waste of money in my eyes in these trucks. you are putting a v8 in a 1/4 ton truck that would normally be in a 1/2 ton or bigger truck. if a v8 would be an upgrade there would have been an option for that on that from the factory. with a blazer you will not be able to pull as much (tranny not as strong, frame,) as a 1/2 ton or 3/4 ton truck.

Really, then how come I have an airaid CAI kit on my 92 s-10 blazer?
Look up my thread "Airaid intake for 1st gen s-series" has a full description and pictures. Or there is another thread that talks about getting the throttle body hat off of certain year caddilac's and rigging up one that way.
The way I did is a Airaid kit that normally goes on the fullsize trucks with the 4.3's. But our 4.3's have the same size throttle body opening so I figured it should work. Had to add an L shapped piece to the PCV valve to reach the opening on the TB hat and the filter points to the passenger side of the vehicle and filter is right next to AC condensor. If you got some pipe you could probley run it like the factory one down the drivers side down near the grill. I plan on doing that sometime.
Anywho, I have done CAI, full exhaust from the new catalytic converter back, (including bigger 2.5 inch pipe and single chamber muffler). If you don't plan on lifting it and going with bigger tires the ring and pinion swap would net you some low end torque, but would make your highway speeds higher RPM's. You could get a chip made for you from TBIchips.com. They also sell on ebay, normally run about $100 and claim around 15hp. You would have to run either higher octane gas with the stock thermostat or regular 87 with a colder thermostat. Your not gonna get a whole lot out of these trucks without some major mods/major $$$. But some bolt on's like I did will make it a little funner to drive.

kewl, that intake looks easy, even to put the filter on the driver side and reroute the pcv. any suggestions on where i can find it cheaper than $110?

Not sure on that one. JC Whitney was the cheapest I could find mine. Most other places wanted $150 and up. Some places wanted entirly too much. And keep in mind thier is two kits like this kind. One is the kit shown in my thread(tb hat, filter, hardware). There is another kit that is identical that has a metal pipe that let's it reach the passenger wheel well. Don't go for one of those cause that straight pipe isn't worth the extra $$$.
You might search amazon and eBay and might find something cheaper. Good luck.
