Which air-intake is best??? K&N or Spectre?
Your welcome, I seen it about a month ago on powerblock tv where they took a new car there for a prototype intake. Then they went around for a tour and mentioned about spectre as well, both were stacked side by side in the warehouse.
Doesn't matter who makes them, the fact remains that an aftermarket CAI accomplishes the same thing as the stock air intake system, with a higher price tag.
Cleburne red nailed it in post #4: "Isn't the factory setup a cold air intake? Mine sucks air from around the side of the radiator, right behind the [headlight]."

FWIW Ive had the Airaid CAI on both my trucks. I replaced the oiled filter with a synthamax dry filter when i swapped it onto my 01. Never really noticed much of a performance increase like everyone says. It does sound nice when i get in it though lol.

K&N did indeed buy out Spectre. Spectre went bankrupt after they lost their lawsuit in 2011, and was purchased by K&N in 2012.
Found this bankruptcy document on the internet.
