Default air intake trouble

i was going to make it a warm air intake for now.
but im having problems installing it.
there is a black hose that comes out of the stock air filter.

If this is a 4.3 CPI than your stock setup goes filter, tube,MAF sensor, tube with IAC sensor, finally the part that attaches to the throttle body. Hopefully that clears it up. If not explain where the black hose is.

That would be for an SCFI motor (96+). The CPI motors did not utilize a MAF sensor.
