Default Cold Air Intake

Hi, I'm new to thisforumI have been searching post and I added a post to brainstorming on some on another post. I thought I would make my own post, here is my question. I have a 00 Blazer 4.3 I bought a air intake off line and I sent it back because I didn't think it would work. After I took the plastic bolt off that holds the TB cover on I. have this back bolt or stud in the TB was to long and it seemed to be one piece. How did you guys make this work? Below is a picture of my TB.ThanksBob

Its actually a 2 part bolt if I remember right. The top part with the hex comes out of the lower part. I'll check and see if I have any pictures of it...

I'm assuming that is the same bolt as the one on my 98 blazer unless they changed it between then and 2000. It's a 2 piece bolt. Once you take that stud out w/ a really tiny wrench... u can put a larger wrench on the nut about half-way down the stud and keep your small wrench on the top. Just twist and it comes right apart. Hope that helps
