flex fan?
i have a flex fan laying around in garage i bought from junk yard for 5 bucks! anyone using one or ever used it on a 4.3 is it worth all the pain in the ***

The stock fan with a properly working fan clutch will outperform just about any other combination.

Personally I woun't put a flex fan on anything. The blades weaken over time and I've seen too many of them break off and leave unwanted cooling vents in the body.
Electric fan or stock set up are the only ways to go IMHO.

What's a good vehicle and price to get an electric fan from a junkyard? I'd like to get my truck to stop sounding like an airplane on the runway when I drive it.

A buddy of mine once got an electric fan out of a Mustang 5.0 and the thing was huge and moved tons of air. I think it cost him like $40-50 US. If you do buy anything electronic from the junk yard I'd get a warranty on it so if it doesn't work you could go back and switch it out free.

twin high low fans on a dodge intrepid. It fits on our rad like its made for it and you have more options over a single big high low fan.

Pics or certain years? I assume we'd need to get some kind of thermostat controller then or would it be mounted on the unit itself?
