modified 98 4.3 which is best a tuner or a modified ecm
I built the 4.3 out of hot rod magazine complete with largest camshaft custom pistons and 1.6 scorpion rr. I don't know weather to buy a tuner or a modified ecm. Please help
The handheld tuners you can buy (Hypertech, etc) will not do what a tuned PCM will do. Now if you are talking about purchasing either HP Tuners or EFI Live, then those are full tuning suites that can be used to modify pretty much every aspect of the PCM. Those suites are what custom PCM tuners use to either tune a donor PCM or directly tune your PCM.
For a custom motor, I would try to find someone locally that can either do a dyno tune or in person tune.
